When you’re facing a goodbye
Support that meets you wherever you are in the journey.
What support looks like
There’s no single right time to reach out. Some families come the day a diagnosis changes everything, some in the last weeks, some long after — when the world has moved on and they haven’t. Wherever you are, here’s what walking alongside you can look like.
Before
Quality of life conversations. Decision-making support when the choice feels impossible. Preparing children in ways they can actually hold. Planning what the goodbye will look like, so it isn’t decided for you in a hurry.
During
Presence at the appointment — whether you need someone beside you, or someone there when you can’t be. Familiar hands, a calm voice, and someone whose only job in that room is presence. Your pet is not alone, and neither are you.
After
Grief companionship in the weeks and months that follow. Memory-making. Support for children, and for the parents trying to help them. Space for a grief that the world often expects you to be over by now.
Cost, and the next step
Every path offered has a price you can see before you ever contact me — no guessing, no “contact for a quote.” Look at what each one includes, and reach out when you’re ready.
Services and Fees →A note on what this service is – and isn’t
This work is psychoeducational and doula-based — information, preparation, and companionship. It isn’t clinical counselling, therapy, or veterinary medical advice, and it isn’t a substitute for any of them. Decisions about your animal’s care stay between you and your vet. If the load you are carrying needs a registered therapist, I’ll help you find one.
Start with a conversation
A free 15–20 minute meeting — no pressure, nothing to prepare. Just a chance to say where you are and work out together whether this kind of support would help.
